I come at marketing from the inside out.

I spent 20 years as a software engineer before I went all in on King Marketing Partners, which I started back in 2018. That background is why I read a website the way Google reads it: the schema, the page structure, the way one page links to the next. Most local business sites are built to look nice, not to rank or convert. That is a code problem as much as a design one, and it is the kind of problem I actually enjoy, so I built a system and a team around solving it.

When I looked at how most local businesses get their marketing done, one thing kept standing out. A lot of owners were renting leads from Angi and HomeAdvisor, the same lead sold to four or five businesses at once. The FTC found that lead selling deceptive enough to order HomeAdvisor to pay back up to $7.2 million to contractors.
